ABOUT US
Telstra Business Systems was born out of the Ericsson company.
The Ericsson Enterprise Division was established as a wholly owned
subsidiary under Ericsson Corporation before being sold to Apax
Partners, a major financing group in the United Kingdom. Apax
then changed the name to Damovo which commenced operations in
September 2001.
Damovo grew in strength around the globe with offices established
in 22 countries. In Australia, Damovo expanded by purchasing the
Telstra PABX business in 2002 and developed into a strong service
based company. Our success and growth in Australia since 2001
brought us to the attention of major corporations in Australia
who wished to purchase Damovo Australia. After a wide-ranging
and exhaustive sales process, Telstra was successful in purchasing
Damovo Australia in September 2004.
Telstra Business Systems was formally launched in February
2005.
Telstra Business Systems can now bring together the design, systems integration, maintenance,
support and management strengths of Damovo with the network capabilities,
and the significant financial strength and investment of Telstra.
Telstra Business Systems draws on partnerships with partners in voice, convergence,
contact centres, and mobility. We combine these strengths with
the expertise and flexibility of a company geared towards Australian
businesses and government.
Our vision is to be the leading voice solutions provider in the
Australian marketplace.
